Description
Les Zurbains is one of the must-see shows of the season. A collection of stories written in French by young teens from Ontario and Québec, this show is an expressive platform dedicated to them.
After receiving their texts, a jury selects some of these budding writers for participation in a rewriting workshop.
Then, Monique Gossiping and Théâtre Le Clou choose five of the stories and bring them to life onstage in Les Zurbains.
Still being written, it is difficult to predict exactly what this show will be like. Let's instead recall the ingenuity of previous versions:
A man, falling out of the sky, settling his final scores in suspense before a landing on Toronto soil, returned tirelessly between each tale. He floated between the stories. Each one more poignant than the last, allowing us to catch our breath between the reject, the crazy one, and the girl “with the rotten bones”.
This disarming show rendered the critics speechless. This new vintage will certainly also be as rich in discoveries and insights!

« Colorés, sensibles, vivants, touchants, drôles, tous les contes, portés par de talentueux jeunes comédiens, se démarquent de superbe façon, tout en étant étrangement bien liés les uns aux autres, notamment grâce à l'omniprésence de la pop culture, et ce, jusque dans la scéno de Josée Bergeron-Proulx... » Lire l'article
